Text Banking

All accounts are eligible for SMS/Text inquiries

  1. Once signed into your online banking on our website, click on MOBILE to see that SMS Banking and Alerts have been selected and the correct phone number is in the system for you.

  2. If SMS Banking and SMS Alerts are not selected, please select them now and hit save changes.

  3. This should active the system to send you a message from Lufkin FCU Alerts showing your activation code and different commands you can text.

  4. Accounts that have already have a phone number and both SMS choices selected will not get an activation code. You can delete any numbers previously in system and re-enter them if you would like to start from scratch and get an activation code. Or you can simply text a command to 71806.

Members can text simple commands

  • BAL for balance of accounts including loans

  • HIST + texting nickname (ex. HIST checking)

  • Step 1: Look for the Contactless Symbol at the checkout register. 

  • Step 2: Simply tap or wave your card over the terminal to make your payment. 

  • Step 3: Once your payment is complete, you’re good to go! 

Note: If a terminal is not yet contactless-enabled, you can still swipe or insert your EMV chip card just as you did before. Your card continues to work for all online, telephone, and ATM transactions.
